Doggieshield
My dad’s dog is completely blind and keep jumping into walls and stuff.
I went in my computer and after several prototypes I was able to design and 3d print this very light weight blind dog doggieshield
This new prototype is supper light weight, flexible and it detaches the shield in case he gets stuck.
Also because it’s far enough from his mouth he won’t be able to bite it.
It’s also curved to be out of the way when he lays down.
This is again a prototype and I’m currently donating a few pieces for people that can’t afford a product like this in exchange for some feedback / videos / pictures.
I’m currently using my own material, 3d printers and paying a semestres to sue the bands together.

Light Weight
I designed this mainly for small dogs. My dad's dog is 14 years old and about 5-6 lbs after a good meal. so adding a 1lb vest / halo/ cushion/ wire etc was not an option. Even if your dog is big enough and stron enough to hold one of those mass produced circles you can buy in amazon the whole thing is going to annoy your dog. This whole set up is about 17 grams
flexible
this is also very flexible. which means it can fit more body types. chunkier ones or skinny ones. The straps are also flexible nd come with a buckle. However, the reason i made this flexible was because of the shield part. if it's flexible it gives doggies a little bit of bounce so when they hit the wall the shield taked most of the force instead of the doggie itself
moldable
Everydog is different. they come in different sizes and different thicknes. i Tried to make it as flexible as i could but sometimes it wont fit just right. You can let your dog wear it but it it feels unconfortable you can summerge the harness in warm water and mold it to his or her body. This is also useful when it comes to the angle of the doggyshield. if it's pointing too low it wont work. like my dad's terrier looks up while standing but when he is walking his nose is to the ground.. so i had to change the angle a little so when he walks.. it down't touch the floor or
Materials
the doggySHIELDS are made of plastic PLA. PLA is a corn based plastic which is biodegradeble. However, just like any blind dog harness it should't be eaten by your dog. just because it's biodegradable doesn't mean it can be used as a dog alternative. if your dog has problems with chewing i suggest spraying it with bitter apple or other products to deter chewing
